Water-Related Problems are the number one cause of the need for home repair.
And 99% of the time it is the unnecessary result of someone doing a job wrong. It can be from lack of competence, knowledge, or simply not being consciencious. In other words, most damage is not simply due to age or wear and tear. It is usually a man-made problem, error or omission.

Tips
Hose Bibb Intelligence In cold weather be sure to disconnect your hoses from outdoor spigots to prevent bursting your water line. If it happens, you may not find out until you try to use the spigot. Listen for the added hiss of a leak during use, inside the wall. Much better to prevent it. More to it... is wall of spigot unheated, remote or partially heated? Does weather stay below freezing for more than a day (with no thaw)? Think!... and understand the physics. |
